															Department of Telugu has been teaching Telugu Language and Literature to the students of First and Second Year B.A., B.Com. And B.Sc., Degree classes since it was established in 1972. Many efficient teachers like Dr. Vrushadripathi, Dr. G. SaiVara Prasada Rao, Smt. V. Seshu Kumari, Smt. P. Sri Devi have worked in this Department. The immeasurable knowledge and proficiency of these learned scholars is a blessing to the Department. Presently there is one sanctioned post in Telugu Department of this college. The Faculty member of the department always strives hard to enrich the knowledge of the students to cater the changing needs and aspirations of the society. The faculty member makes every effort for all round development of the students. They do their best effort to better the standards of the students. Majority of the students studying in this college come from rural areas and belongs to first generation literates. Evince interest in their studies due to inborn fear and lack of proper understanding of the value of the subject. Further the faculty of the Telugu Department make themselves ever available to help the students to enrich their skills.
Department of Telugu has set the objectives in helping the students to learn functional aspects of Telugu through the intensive study of the prescribed text books. Encouraging the students to acquire Oratory skills, Writing Skills, Review skills, Literary Skills, Command over Dialects and Technical Terminology, Personality Development to face future challenges of the field is the main objective of the Department. The department always maintains a cordial relationship with the students to achieve the departmental objectives and goals

Programme Specific Outcomes : B.A , B.Com , B.Sc — Telugu
PSO1: The Program inculcates language, oratory and literary skills in the student and gives scope to get command over all the major dialects of Telugu language.
PSO2: It helps to understand the classical and modern literature and also major Genres like Story, Novel and Poetry etc. So that they can prove their talents in story writing and poetry writing etc.
PSO3: This program gives path to Higher Studies to fulfill their interests in Literature field and caters the needs of competitive exams at both state and central services like Gr-I, Gr-II, Civil Services and other state services recruitment exams.
PSO4: It establishes their career as language teachers at different academic levels, as freelance writers, reporters, editors, journalists in print media, as anchors, radio jockeys, ghost writers in electronic media, as script, song, dialogue writers in both small &Silver screen industries.
